Unmatched Adventures was a blind buy for me and easily one of my best fragrance purchases this year. The opening feels like a tropical getaway, while the dry down remains clean, airy, and addictive. It's unique, lasts all day on my clothes, and feels far more expensive than its price suggests.
I own quite a number of niche fragrances, so I wasn't expecting much from a newer brand. Whispers of Legacy... where do I even start? What surprised me most was how balanced everything felt. Nothing is overly sweet, overly fresh, or overly heavy. I'll be back to try something different!
I met the owners of State of Mood at a coffee shop in San Francisco and immediately noticed how great they smelled. They told me they were wearing Rise of a Monster, inspired by Oud Zarian and Initio Paragon. As someone who usually avoids heavier oud fragrances, I was surprised by how smooth and wearable it was.
